caleblionheart:

Somehow, as my life crawls at a snails pace toward its end, I’ve managed to rack up 25 years worth of forgotten seasons, weeks, minutes, and hours. On Sunday, some friends of mine and I have decided to ring in my 25th year on earth with a series of acoustic performances. Terry Connell of California/Ship Me Overseas/Vessels/Drug Church will be barreling through a selection of original cuts and crowd pleasers. Michael Tash brings us clean, pretty melodies ala Dashboard Confessional or Taking Back Sunday. Aficionado’s Nick Warchol will be making his acoustic singer-songwriter premier with selections from their No Sleep Records Self-Titled Debut LP, new solo material, and 90s alternative cover songs. I will pretend to play Caleb Lionheart songs like I know how they were recorded. Special guests are expected to make an appearance. Go you sons of bastards and daughters of bitches.

stevelayman:

Local zoning laws are looking to make Restaurants, Coffeeshops and Bars in Albany pay an annual fee to the local government for hosting live music events. We all know small venues are closing up all over America since times are tough, but this plan to help stimulate Albany’s economy isn’t going to…

Steve Layman: ALBANY TO TAX LIVE MUSIC (STOP THEM!)

so tell me, who is kidding who? i’ll just shut my mouth and let the silence speak for you.

stevelayman:

The first three nights of tour were excellent. I’ll write up more about them at a later date.

But tonight at 7pm, I’m playing a FREE show at DiVinyl Revolution, the only music shop in Saratoga Springs, NY. Along with me and Ugly Throat will be Orphan Legs, Tony Bucci of Caleb Lionheart and Mike Moak of After The Fall. Check it out!
