I used to resent that I got placed in this room once I left for college. I grew to love it because the love of my life started helping me fill it. Now it’s empty again, and now I resent that I can’t have it anymore.
I should be mature enough to handle this. I’ve moved before, whether to and from Oneonta or from D&R to here. I even have my own apartment at school now. The new apartment for my family isn’t even bad; it’s actually all right. Despite all of this, I still feel like I’m falling apart.
Some things really suck right now. I miss my two little guys. My brother and sister are also leaving memories and security behind. Whether it’s Clifton Park or Oneonta, no matter where I stay this summer, it will leave me feeling cramped and frustrated. But just because some things suck doesn’t mean everything has to. I still have the most comforting dog. I still have the best brother and sister. I still have the hardest working stepdad I could ask for. I still have the job I love. I still have the girl of my dreams, and I have no idea what I would be doing right now without her. I’ll never be able to express how thankful I am.
I know change happens. I know that it brings its share of pros and cons. Still, change fucking sucks.
